Chris has many years’ experience of teaching the emergency services, commercial operators and leisure sailors. He was a serving fire officer for 37 years and is a specialist in Firefighting and Rescue at Sea, having been a member of the UK Search & Rescue Marine Incident Response Group and he currently lectures Senior Officers on the Marine Incident Command Course for the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Academy. He was Senior Helmsman and Instructor of Cornwall’s Fire Boat. He is a Commercially Endorsed RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor, VHF SRC Instructor/Assessor and a Sea Survival Instructor for the RYA and the MCA/MNTB STCW. He is a Consultant Instructor in Fire Fighting at Sea for the Tecno Italia Training Centre in Anzio, Italy and has been with the Centre since 2003.
